First Birthdays // $575

First birthdays are so much fun! My cake smash first birthday sessions are super fun yet laid back so that your baby enjoys them without a lot of fuss.  We will schedule after nap time occurs, typically in the morning. I have everything set up for your session when you arrive but allow time for baby and I to get to know each other and play a little first. I do ask for a theme or colors to work with, and I provide all decor to fit your request. If you have a specific outfit that you want your baby to wear for the smash portion of the session, you will provide the outfit (unless I have it on hand). A lot of times parents will bring more than one outfit and we will decide what will look best before we begin.

I take simple baby portraits first, with baby dressed in a white cotton onesie ( I have these on hand in the studio). Then I dress baby in his/her cake smash outfit and take a few portraits in that outfit too. We then move onto his themed cake or dessert first birthday cake smash and let him have fun. All babies react differently, but I find that the warm up time before the session and simple portraits allow baby to loosen up and feel comfortable with me.

If you want to add family portraits to your cake smash session an additional charge of $125 applies. Family portraits will be done before the cake smash. They can be done outdoors near my studio, in my studio in a lifestyle way or posed on a solid color backdrop.

You’ll spend up to an hour and a half with me in studio and should come prepared with baby’s favorite toy, blanket, drink and snack. I do provide the dessert for your session based on what we decide during the planning stage of booking, but sometimes baby will participate easier if we hide a few of his favorite treats behind the cake.

Your session fee is $575 and comes with set design, cake one zoom reveal appointment and 10 complimentary digital images. If you would like your images and products back before your baby’s actual birthday, please book for when baby is 11 months old. Three to five days after your session, you will have the chance to view your images in person or during a zoom appointment. You will have the chance to choose only what you love! Digital packages begin at $400.
